Yesterday was the wedding. We are told that, as far as the Norwegian embassy knows, this is the first Norbek wedding (or is it Uzwegian?) ever. Aina, from Norway, is a former teammate from our days in Khiva. Oybek is a great Uzbek guy who we also knew from our time in Uz.
By our estimation, during the life of the Khiva team, there were 24 members. 10 of them were at this wedding. In all, 12 countries were represented. It was good to see everyone again after all that has taken place. Here is a group photo of everyone who had worked in Uz.
The day was a mixture of cultures and the backyard reception was complete with Uzbek dress and dance.

And here's is a good one of the bride's sister displaying her veil just before she accidentally pulled it out of her hair (check out her dress!)...
