Day 21: Roses

Hello again from Dushanbe. Not too much to report today. We spent the morning debriefing over our deportation incident with some folks, and in the evening we got to be a part of the weekly team prayer meeting, where we met most of the folks working with our company in Tajikistan.

Tomorrow we head out early and fly up to Khojand (formerly Leninabad - what's with this Lenin guy anyway?!?), where we will spend 4 days. This city is in the region of Tajikistan that sticks out like a finger into Uzbekistan. We are currently being encouraged to consider this location as "plan A".

There are climbing roses in the courtyard of the house we are staying in. If Ella gets close enough, she loves to destroy them. Here she is pointing one out for you.
