So we are moving later this week from the place we've lived for the past year. After sharing two rooms in a courtyard house with 26 people for that long, we are ready for some space. While wondering if there was anything about our current house that we should post about before the move, we thought of all the birds. Our landlord/host loves birds. There are at least 100 various caged birds scattered about the house. Along with the roaming packs of wild children, the birds were one of the more charming things about the place the first time we saw it.
There are all kinds of birds in our house...
There are drinking birds...
and stinking birds...
birds hanging alone...
birds hiding in stone..
These birds are in solitary (confinement, that is)...
I think this one's a canary...
In an unrelated piece of information, Ella has really gotten into Dr. Seuss lately.

Looking through you kids Dr Seuss books...thinking what fun that will be for Ella. Remember "Marvin K Mooney Will You Please Go Now!"and the ABC"S book? Favorites! I still almost know them by memory. Just noticed Marvin K Mooney was given to you(Jen)by Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Danny, Aaron and Marie for your 6th birthday. How time flies!
