Day 10: Picnic & Bazaar

Invited to a picnic by the English club students (from last week), we headed out to the nearby village to meet them this morning. They took us to a beautiful place near the mountains just outside of town. We had a small lunch together and played games. Here we all are around the table with our eats.

Ella was a huge hit with the young girls. They all gathered around her, touching those irresistible cheeks, and took turns taking pictures of each other holding her.

We also took a gander at the local bazaar here in Osh. It was “The bazaar day”, so it was a circus. I have a great little sling for Ella (thanks so much to Leah Payne), which got lots and lots of comments and questions. They’ve never seen a baby strapped to her mommy like this before! Here is a shot of the shoulder to shoulder mess. I would love to just drop each one of you here in a Central Asian bazaar to experience it…and then sit back and watch you.
