We also brought some green bean seeds and planted them the same day, though they aren't doing quite as well. Granted, my veggies had to be planted under a few trees and don't get all day sunshine. I hope we get some fruit from our labor, not sure how sweet corn and green beans will do here, but we will let you know!

I think the garden looks like it is doing pretty well. The shade is probably not helping, but you probably will get some produce from your efforts.
Ella needs to learn how to identify weeds -- we could use her here too.
