christmas time

The weekend after Thanksgiving we woke up to a beautiful dusting of snow (pictures of that to come) and one of Ella's requests that day was to put up the Christmas tree because it was "Christmas outside!" That evening after dinner we put up our tacky sweet little tree, which is pretty easy because its mostly pre-decorated and only 2 feet tall, but the kids just love it...

They especially love the little nativity set my Mom sent a couple of years ago. They play with the little figurines all the time.


It was Christmastime at our house for about one week until a few days ago when somehow Silas got a hold of the tree, pulled it down on him and broke the stand off completely. Aaron tried to fix it, but the plastic that the stand slides into cracked even more. A few days after that Aaron, equipped with a drill and gorilla-brand duct tape got the job done! :) Here is the tree all fixed up again with new lights...

Oh, and do you notice the new stable for the Holy Family???? ;)
