what we've been up to....

Grandma has been keeping busy having lots of fun. Unfortunately, she has also experienced what we call "Rudaki's Revenge" (I think you can figure out what this may be) and had to stay in all day yesterday. Thankfully, she is much better today and even ventured out to the bazaar. Here we found a few interesting sights, like this one of the calf tied to the motorcycle. Guess someone found a good bargain today....

Today is also International Children's Day, something that hasn't made it to the U.S. yet, and we did a few fun things with Ella. Here we are at the local park. Ella was so amazed by everything...

We found a horse and a cart and took a ride...




A friend came over tonight and brought this bear for Ella. She really loved it! She thinks its a great place to take a nap, too...

Mom can't get over all the "interesting" ways things are done here. She keeps taking pictures of the strangest things. Here we are checking the mailbox. As you can tell, this isn't where we pick up our mail anymore! These boxes haven't been in use for quite a long time!

She's also gotten a good taste of other cultures as well. Here we are eating some delicious Korean food prepared by one of our colleagues....
