Hold on Gma

During another visit to the lake, this enterprising camel jockey walked by. With rides priced at about a quarter, we told Grandma that she wasn't leaving until she got on.
It wasn't easy, but she managed.
It is one of my great regrets that I did not start this video 10 seconds sooner. Earlene, Ella, and Jen walked up to the jockey and camel (who was seated) and paid for one fare. Then Earlene, without waiting for the go-ahead, hopped right on as if she had been doing it all her life. The startled quadruped, who had been given no warning of this sudden mount, jumped up (hind legs first), and simultaneously decided he was hungry and took a big bite from a nearby tree. As Earlene had not completely found her seat when the beast lurched, she quickly found herself in a somewhat compromising position, clinging to it with more passion than when she embraced her daughter after many months apart. This is the point at which we pick up in this video...

I think Earlene deserves a medal for getting on that beast! She is brave -- just think of all she has accomplished in the past couple of weeks.
