Yesterday was a first for me. The local teachers in the disability project gave me a costume and a script and asked me to be "Boboi Barf" for the kids. Apparently I was the biggest, whitest guy around. Boboi Barf is the Tajik version of Santa's Russian cousin, Father Frost. It literally means "Grandpa Snow" (with the Tajik word "barf" meaning "snow"). After my entrance and speech, the kids had a program with songs, dances, games, and poems. Then Boboi Barf handed out Samaritan Purse boxes.

This is very cute in some ways -- but from Grandma's point of view -- maybe Santa should be arrested for making children cry!!! Especially their own children :)

That's pretty funny, I mean, except for the cryin' part. Aaron, maybe you could make a carrier of this. Just think, you'd only have to work for a week or so per year! ~matthew
hi aaron and jen, it's marie. i think ella was worried cause daddy's voice was coming from a big ugly thing in her opinion. i have to confess i laughed a little. she is seriously adorable when she cries. hope you guys had great holidays. we are praying for you!
You always wished to play the part of "Barf", didn't you, Aaron? So now if you ever say you feel like "barf", we'll know if could mean two different things... lol :)
