day 13

This is probably the last update from me. We leave tomorrow afternoon for the capital, sleep a few hours and then need to be at the airport at the wonderful hour of 3am on Saturday morning. Will be a short hop (less than 1 hr) to Kabul, with a 6 hour layover then another short hop (less than 2 hrs) to Dehli. Please keep us in your prayers. Ella seems to be coming down with something; she is coughing, has a headache and maybe a low grade fever. :( NOT good timing.

As a child, several times a year we would travel home to Indiana to see family. We would usually leave before dawn and would pile into the old Ford Thunderbird sleepy-eyed and in our sweatsuits that we had slept in the night before. Since I will put the kids to bed in their clothes, I wanted something comfy for Ella for traveling. I found a little sweatsuit today while out getting last minute things for the trip. I gave it to her as an early birthday present (Ella will be spending her birthday in India this year.) She had a blast "opening" it.

It was, unfortunately, too big. We took it back tonight and swapped it for a size smaller, but didn't get this exact one. The new one is all pink and has "Hello Kitty" on it. It will do!

13 days down and only 3 more until we are reunited with you, Aaron! We love you and can't wait until Sunday! (Once we are in Dehli we will stay the night with a friend and then we will have one last flight until we finally see Aaron on Sunday!)
