Turkey, part 2: the conference(s)

Now for the conference part of the trip, which of course was the whole purpose for going to Turkey. Our company does this every three years and this was our second time. We were in this hotel for 9 days, because it was actually 3 conferences/retreats in one - marriage, company, and team.

We will start with the only photo from the meeting part of the conference that we are going to show you. In this one the kids are performing one of the songs that they learned while the big people were in meetings. Laurie, who came to help with the children's program, is in the lower-right corner next to Ella...

Actually, other than the above photo, you are just going to have to take our word for it that there was a conference, because it is far more interesting to show you photos from our free time than from the endless meetings. For instance, there was a kiddie pool...
and learning to swim...

There was also a big pool, complete with slide (check out Ella in the first one)...


All that fun can really wear you out...

The hotel was right on the Sea of Marmaris, which is beautiful to look at but also can get pretty nasty with seaweed/algae (thats why they have the pools I suppose)...

And boy was it windy!...

(just kidding)

We also took the opportunity a couple of nights to get some family pictures on the beach...



Sand is fun...


But it wasn't all smiles. She had to learn on her own that its no good to eat the stuff...
