We heard a knock at the door last night. We opened the door to find several little visitors singing a song (boychechak... boychechak) and showing us a small cup that contained two small unidentifiable objects. They handed them to Jen, who examined them, let out a yelp, thrust them back, and closed the door. She was convinced that this was a prank of some sort, and that the cup contained some poor animal's... (ahem) manhood.A few minutes later, another group appeared. This time I (Aaron) asked them what was in the cup. Perplexed by this foreigner who obviously didn't know anything, they explained that they were flower bulbs from the mountain and that they were here to announce the arrival of spring. You should wipe the ends of the bulb on your face for good luck and to thank God that winter is over. They insisted that we give them some candy or coins for their troubles in bringing us the good news. Then came a different song to thank us (rahmat... rahmat) and they moved on to the next door.

alright jen, that's a gross imagination going on there...hehehe but it sure made me laugh. :-)
I remembered my biology classes in high school when we had to dissect things...looked pretty familiar! Besides, you never know what you're going to see here! :)
My sweet little neice...you are just a little Indiana girl trying to live by faith across the world. I am proud of you and I am sorry to say that this little precious story will live forever in the Klein family! You have always made me smile.
PS. Marie would have thought the same thing - raised in the country with her goats. :-)
i laughed out loud so hard! i could just picture it all happeneing...especially closing the door so quickly on their sweet, smiling faces!
