Right after Christmas (I did say I was really behind in blogging!) Ella had a New Year's Program. Though Christmas is not celebrated here, you can see traces of it in their New Years celebrations including Christmas trees and Santa Claus, or "Boboi Barfi", which means Grandfather Snow.
Silas made a friend or two while waiting for sister's program to start.
Here are a few pictures of Ella singing and dancing. Unfortunately we missed getting her line (in Tajik) in the skit on video...grrrr....but enjoy the photos.
The children say poems, sing, and dance around "Boboi Barfi" so that he will bring them gifts after the program is over.
